The Wunambal Gaambera rangers have been doing some important weed work in the area over the last few months trying to remove and contain weeds that have inadvertently been brought into the area. The rangers and traditional owners are also actively involved in a range of important programs including controlled burning, wildlife surveys and the protection and preservation of cultural sites. It's great to see local people from local communities engaged in caring for country and sharing knowledge. I had the pleasure of having Ildy, Tabatha and Jeremy stay here at the lodge for a week. It was great to learn a few things and relearn how to have an adult conversation. :) If you are interested in learning more about the ranger program be sure to check out their Facebook and Instagram pages @uunguulife. The images are being shared with permission from the rangers. Thanks guys. Love your work!
