"There's a sunrise and sunset every day. You can choose to be there for it. You can put yourself in the way of beauty." ~ Cheryl Strayed.
Another insanely beautiful North Kimberley sunset. This was my 3rd failed attempt and getting across the river. The volume of water racing through there at the moment makes the survival instincts kick in pretty quickly, especially with a load of camera gear strapped to my back. Instead, as I stood on the edge of the river defeated, this magical sunset slowly unfolded. If you look closely, or zoom in, you'll notice the 1-second exposure captured a tiny bolt of lightning. Sometimes things happen for a reason.
I’m still learning to navigate this site. I didn’t mean to put my longer comment in my profile! It was a response to the photos and the text I had just read and seen.
That long exposure of the build up of the cloud in the wet season was beautiful. As are all the photos. Again, thank you for being there so i can experience a slither second hand. What a place.
One more time: incredibly beautiful pictures. Thanks a lot. Greetings from wintry Switzerland, Edith&Bruno
