Monjons | Pt II...

Monjons are Australia's smallest rock wallaby and endemic to the North-west Kimberley. It used to be believed they were found only on the Mitchell Plateau but their range is now known to extend further south and north towards Kalumuburu. The name Monjon is the local Aboriginal word used broadly for any small rock wallaby including Narbaleks, Short-eared Rock Wallabies and what we refer to as a Monjon (Petrogale burbidgei). Very cute and VERY quick.

This one's for you, Geoff.
